Description

Come along to enjoy a moderately challenging walk with spectacular scenic vantage points as we wind our way through working pine forests and areas of native flora, culminating in the Mt Pleasant summit. This walk has a variety of terrain including some ups and downs so if you have some basic bushwalking fitness, then this walk could be for you!

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.

COVID-19 measures – you will need to adhere to social distancing at this event:

  1. I declare that if I experience any respiratory symptoms (even if mild) before the walk, I will immediately self-isolate, seek medical advice and cancel my registration for the event.
  2. When attending the walk I will:
    • observe social distancing practices
    • maintain personal hygiene (apply hand sanitiser and protect others if I cough/sneeze)
    • not share drink bottles, eating utensils, other personal items and equipment.

Undulating tracks that may be slippery and muddy if there has been recent rain in the area.

Requirements

COVID-19 measures – you will need to observe social distancing at this event, ensuring no contact between participants.

This includes:

  • maintaining a 1.5 metre minimum distance between participants
  • maintaining a 4m2 minimum area per person
  • bringing and using your own supply of hand sanitise

Bring snacks for a morning tea break. Please wear appropriate bushwalking clothing and footwear and carry sufficient water for the conditions forecast on the day. Walking polls may be useful if you usually use them but not essential.
