Notes
Established in July of 2013 by the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources. This new water tank will avoid the problem of walkers having to rely on the water tank at the nearby Parachilna Gorge Trailhead (the tank there is readily accessible by vehicle so water supply is sometimes over-used.)
5 Sept 2022, camped nearby, water level in tank about 1/2 full and tasted good.
Water tank low level 2/08/21.
FoHT End to End -2 walk group visited this site on 10/5/21. Tap replaced (in view of reports it was previously dripping). Tank was empty at the time of the repair.
Walker reported that the tank has water – but only up to the 3rd rung.
Camped here on 14/9/2019. The parachilna Heysen campsite tank is empty (push button tap). The tank at the trailhead on Parachilna Gorge road is also empty,
Paused here on 15th July ’19 to mainly check on level of water in tank which I found to be empty. Plenty of campsites and some wood if in need of a fire.
I started E2E here on 27/8/15. I was dropped off at 4.30 pm 26/8, by David from Angorinchina Resort. It was freezing overnight. Water tank full
This tank was half full on 26/5/15
