DESCRIPTION:This walk will include quite a few hills and steps while we wander through parks\, gullies and beaches.  \nThe view from the light house is spectacular. DESCRIPTION:The 33rd Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Heysen Trail and Other Walking Trails Inc. will be held at 7.30 pm on Friday March 22nd 2019. The venue will be the Woodville Lawn Bowling Club\, Oval Avenue\, Woodville. \nNominations are sought from you\, our members\, for election to the Friends Council at the AGM\, for positions including Vice President\, Secretary\, Treasurer and half the remaining members. Our Constitution calls for not less than four and no more than ten non office-bearing members. \nHear about our Association’s activities in 2019 and plans for 2020. \nMeet your council (they are the people who make the decisions) and find out what we intend to do to further develop\, maintain and promote the use of the Heysen and other walking trails. \nOur guest speakers this year will be Paul Nicholas and Eric Felgate who were intimately involved in the reconstruction of the huts along the Trail including Curnow’s and Mayo and managing these projects with men from the Uniting Church hostels. \nNomination forms for council positions available from the office and will available in autumn edition of TrailWalker. \n

SUMMARY:Semaphore - North Haven Beach Walk with Dogs
DESCRIPTION:A loop walk of approximately 10kms starting at 8.00am along the Beach and foreshore paths\, from Semaphore to North Haven and return. If you have a well behaved and social dog please feel free to bring them along. Don’t forget they will need a leash\, water and clean-up bags. There are public toilets available en-route and at the half way point we will stop for a morning tea and coffee at a kiosk or bring your own. \nPlease bring Sun protection and water. \n

SUMMARY:Marion Coastal Walk
DESCRIPTION:This is a mid week morning walk to beat the heat of summer and to get some fitness in the legs now the E2E walks are approaching. \nThe Marion Coastal Walkway is located in the Marion Coast Park which extends 7.2 km from Marino in the north\, to the Hallett Headland Reserve at Hallett Cove in the south. \nIts environment is unique in the metropolitan area\, with its rugged cliffs\, small coves and a rocky coast. \nIt also features world famous geological formations at Hallett Cove\, important sites of remnant coastal vegetation\, and the significant cultural presence of the Tjilbruke Dreaming. DESCRIPTION:This year we’ll have 2 groups walking the Willunga Basin Trail on the same day but on adjoining sections.
