SUMMARY:Worlds End to Burra and Dares Hill Summit Rd to Hallett (Walks 26&30)
DESCRIPTION:Saturday  – Worlds End to Burra – 25km\, Although primarily a long\, flat\, treeless walk\, along dirt roads and road reserves\, this section provides walkers with a perspective on the diversity of landscapes of the Trail. The final few kilometres provide pleasant views over the historic Burra township.\n\nSocial – BBQ and Campfire\, Burra – Venue and Time to be announced after first weekend away.\nBBQ Sausages and Patties will be provided along with bread and sauces for a minimal fee. $5.00 per head.\nIf you have any non meat preferences could you please bring your own and enjoy the bread and sauces at no charge.\n\nIf you intend to come along please RSVP when you register.\n\nWe will ask for everyone to contribute to either a savoury or sweet option for the rest of the meal. Nothing huge or troublesome just a plate for sharing.\nThis will be done by having men bringing savoury and women bringing sweet. Next time we have a BYO we will swap it over.\n\nTheme – Wear an Apron\n\nSunday – Dares Hill Summit Rd to Hallett – 20km\,  The trail takes walkers past the historic Mt Bryan East School\, before beginning the climb up Mt Bryan\, which is the highest point of the Mt Lofty Ranges. Walkers are rewarded with panoramic views of the Mid-North from the summit and as they descend through grazing and farming land towards Hallett.\n\nWalk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines\, irregular surface with loose uneven\, slippery base. They have a walking time of about 5 to 7 hours and will require a good degree of physical fitness.\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.

SUMMARY:Wandallah to Newikie Creek - Burra to Wandallah  (Walks 28&27)
DESCRIPTION:Note: These walks are being done out of order\n\nWalk 28 – Saturday –  Wandallah to Newikie Creek – 22km\,  This remote and very undulating section across grazing lands beyond Goyders Line.\n\nWalk 27 – Sunday – Burra to Wandallah – 16km\,  This section of the Trail goes through historic Burra\, passing the old Redruth Gaol and other reminders of a bygone era.\nThe trail then takes walkers over the exposed hills of the North Mount Lofty Ranges.\n\nSocial:\n\nHi all\,\n\nThe Theme for the walk on Saturday the 22nd is Italiano. We hope you will embrace the culture\, don an outfit and maybe enjoy a game of Bocce.\nWe will be ordering Pizzas from the local pizza bar and hope to be able to eat them at the pub while enjoying a Vino or Bir.
