DESCRIPTION:Based In Melrose\n\nNOTE – If you wish to walk on only one day\, please contact the FOHT office (once\n\nbookings have opened) to register for that day’s walk. The on-line registration \n\nsystem will only allow you to register for both days.”\n\nSaturday 27th June -Walk 41: White Park Rd to Murray Town – 13.5 km’s\n\n\nThis section starts at the junction of White Park & Yellow Cutting Rds. The day is spent walking along back roads and road reserves through undulating farmland.\n\nSunday 28th June -Walk 42: Murray Town to Melrose – 17kms\n\nA leisurely walk\, predominantly along lightly undulating back roads\, this section provides pleasant vistas over the surrounding farmland and finishes in the shadow of Mt Remarkable.\n\nWalk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines\, irregular surface with loose uneven\, slippery base. They have a walking time of about 5 to 7 hours and will require a good degree of physical fitness.\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
