SUMMARY:E2E16 Waitpinga to Tugwell Rd
DESCRIPTION:One of the most spectacular sections of the Trail\, walkers follow sandy tracks through the coastal scrub of Newland Head Conservation Park\, and dramatic clifftops towards Victor Harbor. Here whales have been sighted\, as well as seals\, dolphins and the endangered white bellied sea eagle. At Kings Beach the Trail leaves the coast following roads and an uncleared road reserve to begin the long journey north.

SUMMARY:E2E16 Balquhidder to Waitpinga
DESCRIPTION:After passing Balquhidder Station\, named by the wool brokering firm Harold and James McGregor after a village in Scotland which was the birthplace of famous outlaw Rob Roy McGregor\, we make our way down to the coast while taking in the views offered by the Southern Ocean.\n\nAs you come down to the beach be prepared to take your shoes off to cross the creek as it can be knee deep at times.\n\nThe walk takes us along both Parsons and Waitpinga Beaches and finishes at Waitpinga Campground in the Newland Head Conservation Park.\n\nThis is a spectacular walk and make sure you keep an eye out for whales along this section of coast.

SUMMARY:E2E16 Tapanappa to Balquhidder
DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled (We have received advice from DEW (Dept for Environment and Water) of deteriorating conditions throughout the area. Significant rain forecast overnight tonight and a thunderstorm expected tomorrow afternoon. Rain continuing throughout Sunday. Creeks will be up and there is a chance that the bus may not get into Balquidder in these conditions. So sorry for you guys. We will come up with a new date for this walk shortly. An email will follow this evening re a local walk on Sunday and the opportunity to socialise. Paul\, for the leadership group\n\n \n\nA bus is hired for End-to-End walks. Each walker will need to pay the bus fee in addition to their walk payment. See description of End to End walks. \nA picturesque section highlighting the diversity of the Heysen Trail. Photo opportunities abound\, and you might even spot a whale.\n\nThis walk starts with spectacular views to Tunkalilla Beach followed by a picturesque walk through dense bushland before a steep descent to Boat Harbor Beach.\n\nThe very testing 4km walk along Tunkalilla Beach is followed by a very steep climb up to Balquhidder which makes it a unique and very memorable section of the Heysen Trail.

SUMMARY:E2E16 Cape Jervis to Cobbler Hill
DESCRIPTION:This is the first walk for the new End to End 16 group.\n\nAfter you register for this walk you will receive an email inviting you to attend one of two introductory walks to be held before this walk.\nThese walks will give you a chance to assess your fitness and to raise any queries you might have before you embark on the Heysen Trail.\nThose people who successfully register for this walk will be given priority access to register for the subsequent E2E16 walks.\n\nThis first walk starts from the Cape Jervis trailhead and follows sandy coastal tracks and exposed coastal hillsides\, providing spectacular views over Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island. An easy start to the walk turns to undulations further along\, ending with the much talked about Cobbler Hill for the last 2kms.\n\nWalkers are sometimes rewarded with sightings of seals and dolphins. At Blowhole Beach the trail enters Deep Creek Conservation Park to begin the long climb through native bushland to Cobbler Hill.\n\nInformation re BUS transport: For End to End walks the bus does NOT transport walkers from Adelaide to the walk. After registration\, walkers will be given instructions to drive their vehicle to the meeting point which will be at the END point of the day’s walk. The cars remain there and the bus transports the group to the start point. From there\, the group walks back to the cars.\n\nArrangements will also be made to facilitate car pooling from the city (near Marion) so that you can share the driving and/or navigating throughout the walking season.
