DESCRIPTION:Walk 6 Dump Road to Inman Valley \nAn undulating walk with a steep descent into a creek crossing. This section follows country roads \, farm paddocks fence lines \, forest trails and road reserves. \nNative orchids \,grass trees \, abundant birdlife and farmland views make this a pleasant walk to remember. \nWalk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines\, irregular surface with loose uneven\, slippery base. They have a walking time of about 5 to 7 hours and will require a good degree of physical fitness. \nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.

DESCRIPTION:Walk 7 Inman Valley to Myponga \nA very undulating walk. Majestic gums line roadsides leading to testing climb up Sugarloaf Hill where walkers are rewarded with spectacular rural views. \nThe trail then leads into Myponga Conservation Park for more views and some more testing descents and ascents. Pretty farmland and quiet country roads complete this section. \nThere is a walk to the cars after leaving the trail on Yulte Road. \nWalk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines\, irregular surface with loose uneven\, slippery base. DESCRIPTION:Walk 7 Myponga to Mt Compass \nCommencing with a short road walk\, the trail enters the small but picturesque Yulte Conservation Park. After a steady climb you have a reasonable descent where walking poles\, if you have them\, will be put to good use. \nAfter emerging from the bushland\, the trail crosses open farmland\, continuing along Lawless Rd\, past the Myponga Pistol Club firing range\, and gradually climbing to Mt Cone\, passing interesting 2 tier tree plots dotted about the hills and from the top of the ridge you are presented with distant views south over Victor Harbor before finishing with a road walk to Mt Compass. \nWalk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines\, irregular surface with loose uneven\, slippery base. DESCRIPTION:Walk 9 Mt Compass to Kyeema \nThe pretty dairy pastures of Mt Compass and Nangkita provide the backdrop for the first section of this walk. Back roads then lead walkers through Finniss Conservation Park and into Mt Magnificent Conservation Park\, where a short hike off the main trail rewards walkers with spectacular views from Mt. Magnificent over the southern Fleurieu Peninsula. DESCRIPTION:Walk 3 Tapanappa to Balquhidder  \nThis walk starts with several km’s of road walking before a picturesque route through bushland before a steep\, and likely slippery descent onto the rocky shoreline of Boat Harbor Beach. Spectacular views towards and along Tunkalilla Beach can be viewed through this part. After Boat Harbor Beach\, we will make our way onto and along the soft sand of Tunkalilla Beach for approx 4km\, followed by the infamous Balquhidder Hill. Sensational views back to the west will reward you at the top. DESCRIPTION:Walk 4 Balquhidder to Waitpinga  \nA short road walk \, then after passing Balquhidder station\, we make our way down to the coast while taking in the views offered by the Southern Ocean . \nAs you come down off the beach be prepared to take your shoes off to cross the creek as it can be knee deep at times . \nThe walks takes us along Parsons and Waitpinga beaches and finishes at the Waitpinga carpark next to the Newland head Conservation Park. \nThis is a spectacular walk and on occasions dolphins and whales have been spotted. \nWalk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines\, irregular surface with loose uneven\, slippery base.
