SUMMARY:Mylor Nature Trail
DESCRIPTION:This walk will initially take us along a narrow bush track which leads through the Valley of the Bandicoots wildlife corridor. The return leg follows part of The Heysen Trail. Amongst the understory of the woodland stretches expect to see a good selection of native plants in full bloom at this time of year. At the end of the walk\, for those interested\, Mylor Harvest Café is a popular destination for freshly prepared light meals\, tea\, coffee & cakes.

SUMMARY:Mount Lofty
DESCRIPTION:The first half of this walk essentially follows a contour line around the west face of Mount Lofty before it descends into Piccadilly Valley. There are good views across the City at some points and many interesting plants amongst the native veg. The return leg will take us up through the Rhododendron Gully in the Botanic Gardens.

SUMMARY:Ambers Gully
DESCRIPTION:A great walk to test the skills\, with several sharp undulations.  See the best of the Black Hill Conservation Park in a morning walk\, being rewarded very quickly with magnificent views of Adelaide. Previous walks in this area have yielded kangaroo’s\, koalas and an echidna. \nSome recent uphill walking prior to participating would be an advantage.  \nWalk through the Sugar Loaves\, then a steep track down to Ghost Tree Gully and up the Summit Link trail.  Downhill from here\, meandering along the Ambers Gully track\, to the car park.  \nShould be comfortable 3 ½ hours\, but have allowed plenty of time for the ups. \nMeal after at Cafe Primo\, Dernancourt Shopping Centre\, Lower North East Road\, Dernancourt  optional.  Please let me know if you would like a meal in the notes\, as being Sunday lunch\, we may need to book a table.

DESCRIPTION:The flora and the scenery on this walk are spectacular.  \nIt is just about my favourite spring walk and I am always delighted by the chance to see some rare coastal heath in flower. \nThere are magnificant views so dont forget camera &/or binoculars. Bring rain and wind protection as well as lunch\, snacks and water. \nThis walk is about 13km but it is relatively flat and easy.

DESCRIPTION:This is a gentle bushland walk which was used for farming and bee keeping so their should be an abundance of wild flowers. \nTheir are sugar gums planted that are not native to the area\, these attract the bees and birds. \nThe tracks are sandy\, which make a slower walk.

SUMMARY:Lavender Trail meets Heysen Trail
DESCRIPTION:The Lavender Trail meets the Heysen Trail at Webb Gap. \nOur walk begins as a leisurely stroll on the Heysen Trail along Kernchens Road to Webb Gap Road. A short climb gets us to the top of Webb Gap and a typical Heysen trail campsite where we will have morning tea. Then its an easy wander down to the opening ceremony. \n12noon: Opening Ceremony at Junction of the trails. We will then head to Peppermint Springs via a fairly direct route. \n1pm: Lunch at Peppermint Springs (Robertstown War Memorial Community Centre will have a wide selection of food to purchase). Some more speakers and exhibits. \n2pm: Walks resume. We will make our way back to Webb Gap using the Lavender Trail over farmland and into the foothills of the Tothill Range which may be fairly up and down and the track rocky in places. From Webb Gap we will retrace our steps back to the vehicles.

DESCRIPTION:This is the first of a series of mid week walks. Each will be designated as a ‘Trail Starter’ to reflect distance and the time required to walk. While each walk will suit new walkers\, experienced walkers are invited to use these walks for some mid week training. In other words\, all-comers are welcome. \nThis walk takes a route through parts of both Kuitpo Forest Reserve and Kyeema Conservation Park. We will start on Brookman Connor Road and make our way in an anti clockwise direction. At about lunch time we join the Heysen Trail and head north back to the cars. The walk is through very pretty and quiet country and is generally flat but with one or two steep sections. Participants should be confident that they can walk about 11 kms.

DESCRIPTION:This is a rocky\, uphill meandering sort of walk where we will be walking up Ambers Gully Track and various other tracks and fire trails in the Black Hill Conservation Park. I am a compassionate walk leader but nevertheless I will bring along a whip to motivate stragglers…! \nPlease wear footwear with good grip and bring along walking poles if you have any. SUMMARY:Sturt Gorge
DESCRIPTION:This is a walk to explore the western end of Sturt Gorge. If the water level is not too high we will descend to the floor of the valley and cross the river several times to make our way to see the series of small falls between steep sided rock cliffs. It is a spectacular sight. Most of the walk should be easy but 10% requires good concentration and good footwear with excellent grip because it can be steep and slippery in places. Walking poles and some experience is  recommended. In the event of a high river level we will wander the trails at higher levels. If you haven’t walked in this area before you will be amazed at the rugged beauty of the gorge nestled between the neighbouring suburbs. \nThe walk will start at 9:30 with an expected finish around 12:30. \nBring morning tea and snacks and walking poles if you have them.

SUMMARY:Sturt Gorge
DESCRIPTION:This is a walk to explore the western end of Sturt Gorge. If the water level is not too high we will descend to the floor of the valley and cross the river several times to make our way to see the series of small falls between steep sided rock cliffs. It is a spectacular sight. Most of the walk should be easy but 10% requires good concentration and good footwear with excellent grip because it can be steep and slippery in places. Walking poles and some experience is  recommended. In the event of a high river level we will wander the trails at higher levels. If you haven’t walked in this area before you will be amazed at the rugged beauty of the gorge nestled between the neighbouring suburbs. \nThe walk will start at 9:00 with an expected finish around 12:00 \nBring morning tea and snacks and walking poles if you have them.  \nThis walk was originally scheduled for 10th July but was cancelled due to a damaging wind risk alert by the Bureau of Meteorology. Better luck this time!
