SUMMARY:Adelaide100_City to Norton Summit
DESCRIPTION:Following the section of the ‘Adelaide100’ from Adelaide City to Norton Summit\, we will be following the River Torrens Linear Park until we link up several streets to enter and climb up Black Hill\, then across and into Morialta\, and finally onto Norton Summit.\n\nThis is expected to be a demanding day out\, and due to the distance\, a reasonable walking speed will be required to have us finish before it gets dark.\n\nIt is a walk for those who are capable of maintaining a good pace with minimal breaks\, and who are able to cover the distance. Also for those who want to undertake the entire ‘Adelaide100’ circuit.\n\nIf you have not recently walked further than 30km in one outing\, please do not start with this walk.\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.

SUMMARY:Cape Jervis/ Cobbler Hill
DESCRIPTION:Commencing at Cape Jervis\, the coastal scenery along this region of the Fleurieu Peninsula is second to none\, and is a lovely walk along the first section of the Heysen Trail. The trail begins with a meander along sandy coastal tracks and exposed hillsides\, with views of Kangaroo Island and the dynamic Southern Ocean over your right shoulder. Walkers are often rewarded with sightings of seals & dolphins. The trail gradually develops into several undulations further along as you approach Blow Hole Beach within the Deep Creek Conservation Park. The walk ends after a much-anticipated hill climb for approx. 2km through native vegetation back to the vehicles.\n\nThis walk is a great introductory walk for those who are interested in undertaking the entire Heysen Trail\, those who want to catch up a section\, anyone wanting to relive this section of the Fleurieu Peninsula.\n\nA bus will transport us from the vehicles to the start of the walk.\n\nPlease note: the bus does NOT transport walkers from Adelaide to the walk. After registration\, walkers will be given directions to drive their vehicle to the meeting point which will be at the END point of the day’s walk. The cars remain at the meeting location\, and the bus transports the group from the cars to the walk start point. From there\, the group walks back to the cars.\n\nTo participate in this walk\, you need to pay for the bus whether you’re using it or not .\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
