SUMMARY:Warren
DESCRIPTION:The Warren Conservation Park\, north of Kersbrook\, has some rugged areas of natural bush land which we will explore until the South Para River. I expect to finish the walk by about 2.00 pm (on the same day)\, so you will need to bring food for morning tea and lunch\, and about two litres of water. Some of the tracks are rocky and /or covered with the treacherous green algae and in damp weather could be slippery\, so bring along walking sticks and raincoat if it is going to rain.

SUMMARY:Mt Misery
DESCRIPTION:This is a challenging walk which will start at 8.30 am and include at the start a car shuttle from our meeting point. The walk is challenging because there are a number of hills which will involve walking up hill a number of times during the day. Once we reach the summit of Mt Misery\, the return journey will also involve more hills. I expect to finish sometime late afternoon and therefore require all walkers to carry enough food and water for morning tea\, lunch and perhaps even mid afternoon energy snack. If the weather is kind to us\, this day out will be really worthwhile. If not\, we will remember this walk for a while!

SUMMARY:Horsnell Gully
DESCRIPTION:This walk promises to be a cool weather walk\, with maximum forecast to be 20ËšC. There are a number of challenging sections in this 20 kms walk which will also involve a car shuttle from our meeting place. The approximate distance is 20 kms and it is hope to finish by 3.00 pm. Some of the hazards will include steep sections\, and uneven rocky surfaces. To begin with we will follow the Heysen Trail in the South Mount Lofty Ranges\, up the steep Narrow Range Road which should take about 35 minutes with numerous stops. We then head for Norton Summit via Morialta Conservation Park before returning to Horsnell Gully Conservation Park.

SUMMARY:Moana to Port Willunga
DESCRIPTION:For the last Trailwalker (2015 season)\, I am offering a walk across an interesting section of Adelaide’s southern coastline with dramatic cliffs\, a nudist beach and other historic features. This walk is about 19.5 kms long and comprises a variety of walking surfaces from beach sand to cliff face rocks. Our lunch stop is near an icecream shop at Port Willunga! \n\nThis walk could be undertaken in hot conditions. Bring enough water\, 2 and half litres and suncream\, etc.\n\nBy about 2.30 pm when walkers return to their starting point\, the thought of coffee could be uppermost in their minds…

SUMMARY:Lavender Federation Trail Keyneton to Truro
DESCRIPTION:Sorry for posting these details late – have been ill for two weeks.\n\nThis should be a nice walk to finish our season. Walk distance is close to 21.5 kms. Could not make it any shorter because first walk next year has access issues and needs to be 21/22 kms.\n\nCountryside will be different from what we have seen so far. There will be more open paddocks and cropping. There will be few undulations and dirt road/farm access tracks will dominate. Don’t forget to oil the hip joints!\n\nThe panorama should be green fields and more intense farming. We will see more evidence of vineyards.\n\nIf you intend to stay on after the walk has finished bring a chair and some refreshments.

SUMMARY:Montacute (Mount Misery)
DESCRIPTION:Montacute Conservation Park and Cudlee Creek forestry area are very hilly places. Walkers should be prepared for up and down hills and if wet weather is forecast\, slippery conditions as well.\n\nThe walk incorporates a steep climb to Mount Misery with wonderful views over the Kangaroo Creek reservoir and Adelaide plains.\n\nThis is a demanding walk. Walk distance 16. 4 km and will take 5 to 5.30 hours.\n\nBring extra water\, ideally you should carry 2- 3 litres of water for this walk.\n\nAt the end of the walk we can have a well deserved break at the Anderson Hill Winery where we can eat pizza\, cheese and of course sample the local wine.
