SUMMARY:Brownhill Crk/Belair loop walk
DESCRIPTION:A  12km walk along  picturesque Brownhill Creek to Belair and return via Randall Park. There is one steep uphill section with rewarding views of the hills and later to the sea. This walk can be slippery so good footwear is essential and walking poles would be helpful.

SUMMARY:Sanderston Trail
DESCRIPTION:Opened in 2016 this trail is quite different to most other walks.Situated on the Mallee side of the Adelaide Hills walkers are rewarded with rolling green hills\,spectacular views in all directions and some of the best dry stone walls in the state.The trail itself is only 5kms long\,from there we walk along quiet backroads for approx another 4kms before turning around and returning to enjoy the splendour of the Sanderston again.

SUMMARY:Onkaparinga River National Park
DESCRIPTION:A walk in the eastern section of Onkaparinga River National Park\, combining several trails to create a longer walk of around 3 hours. The terrain has a few up and downs of moderate intensity as we wind our way around the rim of the river gorge. We will be stopping for a morning tea break during the walk. \n\nBring lunch and a chair if you feel like having a chat and lunch in a bush setting after the walk.\n\n915am for 930 am start.

SUMMARY:Balquidder to Waitpinga
DESCRIPTION:After passing Balquhidder Station\, named by the wool broking firm Harold and James McGregor after a village in Scotland which was the birthplace of famous outlaw Rob Roy McGregor\, we make our way down to the coast while taking in the views offered by the Southern Ocean. As you come down to the beach be prepared to take your shoes off to cross the creek as it can be knee deep at times. The walk takes us along both Parsons and Waitpinga Beaches and finishes at Waitpinga Campground in the Newland Head Conservation Park. This is a spectacular walk and make sure you keep an eye out for whales along this section of coast.

DESCRIPTION:Day 1: Saturday 4th August 2019 Broadview to Woolshed Flat 16kms\n\nStarting with a tough climb out of Horrocks Pass to the ridge\, the Trail traverses exposed\, gibber littered hills and farmland.  Walkers are rewarded with views over the Willochra Plain. \n\nDay 2: Sunday 5th August 2019\n\nThis section of the trail climbs through grazing land and natural scrub to Mount Brown\, where walkers are provided with spectacular views of the northern Spencer Gulf from the viewing tower. DESCRIPTION:A relatively flat walk with a few gentle undulations along a pretty portion of the Dry Creek Trail from Valley View to Bridge Rd and return. A few historical buildings to be looked at from the original Yatala jail. Sturdy trail shoes or hiking boots preferred due to some single track. Bring morning tea and water for along the trail. Raincoat if the weather requires. 10km\, approx 2-3 hours.

SUMMARY:EE George Quarry to Spalding Rd to the Chlorinator
DESCRIPTION:NOTE – If you wish to walk on only one day\, please contact the FOHT office (once bookings have opened) to register for that day’s walk. The online registration system will only allow you to register for both days.\n\nBoth of this weekends walks pass along features of historical significance in the Mid North of the State.\n\nSATURDAY 27th JULY\n\nMost of this section is spent walking south\, initially along the crest of the Brown Hill Range\, following the remnants of an 1840 stone wall(the longest in SA).It is quite an undulating walk with little shelter from the elements\, however the views make up for any discomfort(please ensure you have suitable clothing). The final 5 or so klms follow rural back roads to the main Spalding to Burra road.\n\nSUNDAY 28th JULY\n\nThis is a very flat but unique walk that follows the freshwater intake channel for the Bundaleer Reservior\, only leaving it for a few klms to go through Spalding. Walkers will see some fascinating examples of engineering from the early 1900’s.\n\nDinner on Saturday evening will be at the Spalding Hotel from 6.30pm.\n\nThe theme for this evening dinner is all things “FRENCH” in recognition of the Tour de France and Bastille Day etc.

DESCRIPTION:Stage 4 in our exploration along the new Willunga Basin Trail – yet to be marked – 120km loop around the basin south of Adelaide. \n\nCommencing in Willunga we take a long slow climb along Delabole Road and Range Road toward Mt Terrible for some wonderful views across the wine region and basin.  The descent will cover road reserve and country roads to finish at Sellicks Hill. \n\nDistance approx. 18 kms 6 hours\n\nUsual requirements to bring water\, snacks and lunch.

SUMMARY:Brownhill / Belair
DESCRIPTION:A loop walk starting from near the caravan park on Brown Hill Creek Road then into Mitcham then through the cemetery\, crossing old Belair Rd prior to climbing through Randell Park and out into the streets of Belair for a short stint before moving into Belair National Park. From the railway station entrance to park the walk will pass by Old Government House  and onto the climb up Saddle Hill Track before wending its way onto the Yurrebilla Trail and exiting the Park for the zig zag descent to Brown Hill Creek Road.\n\nAfter a stretch along Brown Hill Creek Road there will be a steep climb to the top of Brown Hill prior to descending back through McElligotts Reserve and down to the cars.\n\nThe walk includes 3 testing climbs so please be prepared.\n\nPlease remember the only stop during the walk will be for morning tea as the walk will finish prior to lunch.

DESCRIPTION:A picturesque section highlighting the diversity of the Heysen Trail. Photo opportunities abound\, and you might even spot a whale.\n\nThis walk starts with spectacular views to Tunkalilla Beach followed by a picturesque walk through dense bushland before a steep descent to Boat Harbor Beach. The very testing 4km walk along Tunkalilla Beach is followed by a very steep climb up to Balquidder which makes it a unique and very memorable section of the Heysen Trail.

DESCRIPTION:Day 1: Melrose to Alligator Gorge Road 26kms\n\nThis is a very long and difficult (but memorable) section of the Tail that starts with the ascent of Mt Remarkable\, and continues through Mt Remarkable National Park before emerging on Alligator Gorge Road.\n\nDay 2: Alligator Gorge Road to Horrocks Pass 15kms\n\nThe trail initially leads over Lavender Peak to picturesque Stony Creek campsite.
