SUMMARY:Mawson Lakes
DESCRIPTION:Yes\, you read it correctly. This is another Thursday night Twilight walk\, but in a less travelled walking location.\n\nJoin us for a stroll around the township now located on the property once owned by the pioneering landholders\, the Elder family.\n\nThere might not be too many hills in the vicinity but we will relive some of the history of pioneer settlement on the northern Adelaide plains and encounter bird life as we meander along a section of the Dry Creek trail and the Sir Douglas Mawson Lake.

SUMMARY:Belair night walk
DESCRIPTION:This is a twilight/night walk ( headlights will be needed ) utilising the multiple trails within the park.\n\nHowever most tracks are well maintained in the park\,making an ideal walk for beginners.\n\nThis 12.5km loop hike follows 4 marked trails through Belair National Park. Walk through forests\, beside bush and forested creeks\, picnic areas & playgrounds.\n\nThe date has been changed to February 21st due to a family commitment.\n\nOur starting time is wholly dependent on the parks closing time which is 9pm\n\nI haven’t located a restaurant in the area\, however Hungry Jack’s is not far away for after we finish.\n\nA suggestion that we take some snacks/ food with us has been made.\n\nThere are certainly plenty of spots to sit and enjoy them. I will check at the start of the walk and ensure we get time to eat.

SUMMARY:Blackwood Forest Reserve / Belair
DESCRIPTION:This is a mid week morning walk to beat the heat of summer and to help maintain some fitness in the legs during our walking season.\n\nWe will take a short stroll through back roads to Blackwood Forest reserve. The reserve is the site of the old Blackwood Experimental Orchard and details can be found on the following link:\n\nhttp://www.communitywebs.org/friendsofblackwoodforest/history.php\n\nFrom the reserve we will make our way up Turners Ave to a fire trail.\n\nFrom here we climb up Olave Hill to join Olave Hill Road which will lead us into Belair National Park.\n\nWe will do a couple of loop walks exiting the park to follow Minno Creek back to Joan’s Pantry for coffees.\n\nWalk will be about 12-14 km in length with coffees at the end – Will vary length depending on heat conditions.
