SUMMARY:Tanunda to Kapunda
DESCRIPTION:This section takes walkers along back roads and road reserves past vineyards and wineries of the Barossa Valley.Passing through the small town of Greenock and into cropping land of the Lower North.A recent re-route now takes us through the centre of Kapunda passing the old mine and some grand old buildings on the way .A mainly flatish walk with a few undulations to raise your pulse every now and then.

DESCRIPTION:Tired..bored with yet another weekend walk up to Mt Lofty. What about a stroll through Shepherds Hill and Waitparinga Reserves to the old Sleeps Hills Tunnel and the Viaduct which spanned the gorge? Before crossing the main ridge and descending to view the entrances to both the old and new tunnels…. But wait\, there’s more. We’ll then do a spin around the Sleeps Hill Quarry network on the Interpretive Trail. A brief history of the rail and quarry networks will be included at no extra charge.

SUMMARY:Black Hill Conservation Park
DESCRIPTION:A loop walk commencing around the foothills to Ambers Gully and then picking up the Yurrebilla Trail which steadily climbs to the top of the range. Following the undulating track along the top for a while to Black Hill summit before descending back to the cars.\n\nWe will stop for morning tea and be finished before lunch.

DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY 24th AUGUST\n\nSkirting the Bundaleer Reservior and passing the aqueduct the trail joins the northern intake channel\, travels onto  the weir before crossing the permanently flowing Bundaleer Creek.Then embarks on an easy & relaxing walk through grazing land and along the bed of the picturesque Never Never Creek\, surrounded by hundreds of grass trees\, before joining Bundaleer Gardens Road for a short section in Bundaleer Forest prior to ending near Curnows Huton Springs Road.\n\nSUNDAY 25th AUGUST\n\nA diverse and testing walk through native scrub\, Bundaleer pine forest and farmland. The ridgetops and challenging climbs reward walkers with spectacular panoramic views stretching to Pt.Pirie\, Crystal Brook\, the Bluff and Mt. Remarkable and on a clear day as far as Mt. Brown. \n\nThe dinner on Saturday evening will at the Commercial Hotel in Jamestown from 6.30pm.\n\nIn an effort to ensure a more timely service of the meal we will pre-order our meals. In the week prior to the walk a menu will sent to everyone for you select a meal.If you could make a selection and advise of your choice I will inform the hotel.\n\nThe theme for the weekend will be pyjameytown(with a silent py!). Dress up if you would like.

Bring morning tea and water for along the trail. Raincoat if the weather requires. 10 km\, approx 2-3 hours.\n\nJoin us after the walk for a drink or some lunch at the Fox and Firkin Hotel.

DESCRIPTION:Day 1: Saturday 31st August 2019 Woolshed Flat to Quorn 14kms\n\nA steady climb to start the day takes walkers to the top of the range and views over Pichi Richi Pass.  After descending into the pass again\, the Trail follows the historic Pichi Richi railway line\, passing the remnants of deserted sidings and settlements.\n\nDay 2: Sunday 1st September 2019 Quorn to Dutchmans Stern 16kms\n\nThis section of the trail passes the outskirts of Quorn before climbing gradually towards the Dutchmans Stern. SUMMARY:Waitpinga to Tugwell Road
DESCRIPTION:One of the most spectacular sections of the Trail\, walkers follow sandy tracks through the coastal scrub of Newland Head Conservation Park\, and dramatic clifftops towards Victor Harbor. Here whales have been sighted\, as well as seals\, dolphins and the endangered white bellied sea eagle. At Kings Beach the Trail leaves the coast following roads and an uncleared road reserve to Tugwell Road to begin the long journey north. A bus will be used at the start and end of the day\, hence the higher bus fee.

SUMMARY:Anderson Loop Trail
DESCRIPTION:This walk\, in the Mount Crawford Forest at Chain of Ponds\, initially wanders through juvenile pines\, then joins the Heysen and ascends for great views of the Ponds. Leaving the Heysen the walk enters native forest before again re-joining the Heysen for a spectacular 360-degree panorama. The trail then descends to the starting point.

More details shown below. \n\nSATURDAY 21st SEPTEMBER\n\nThe walk follows Lehmann Road into Georgetown\, a historic farming town well known for its heritage hotel. From town the trail heads west along Slaughterhouse Road past Hiskeys Hut. The trail then follows undulating fencelines with a steady climb over Sams Hills down to Sams Hut before crossing Rocky River. After a short section adjacent to the Morgan-Whyalla pipeline the walk finishes with a further 4-5 klms along an undulating fenceline to Locks Ruin.\n\nSUNDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER\n\nAn easy walk predominantly along roads and road reserves with a couple klms along the Goyder Hwy into and through the township of Crystal Brook\, which marks the end of the trail journey westwards.After leaving the town via the golf course and onto Crystal Brook Valley Road the walk concludes a further 3 or so kilometers at Bowman Park.\n\nFrom here our next walk commence our journey into the Southern Flinders Ranges.\n\nDinner on Saturday evening will be YIROS and bread and butter pudding in the grounds of the goal. Cost will be $15 per person paid at time of registering. See meal description below for meal options. SUMMARY:Dutchmans Stern to Eyre Depot to Buckaringa
DESCRIPTION:Due to the logistic side of these walks\, the days of the walks have been swapped around and we will be using the bus for pick ups and drops to and from the walks.\n\nDay 1: Saturday 28th September 2019 Eyre Depot to Buckaringa 29kms\n\nAfter climbing back into the range\, walkers enter Mount Arden Creek which winds its way northwards.  The gradual climb up the winding creek bed with its waterfalls and rocky sections can make progress very slow\, but after Mt Arden South campsite the trail leaves the creek to Climb Mt Arden summit for spectacular 360 degree views.  The trail then follows the ridge line and a pretty creek line to exit at Buckaringa.\n\nDay 2: Sunday 29th September 2019\n\nDutchmans Stern to Eyre Depot 19kms\n\nThis is a deceptively tough walk with a bit of everything – undulating fire tracks with spectacular views\, a rocky gorge and a gibber strewn floodplain.\n\n*If you would like to register to walk one day only\, please contact the FOTH office to register*

SUMMARY:Lobethal Bushland Park
DESCRIPTION:Pleasant circular walk in a hidden wonderland just outside of Lobethal. The Lobethal Bushland features two large reservoirs and tall stringybark forest with fern undergrowth. We will walk beautiful trails around and beyond the park passing the reservoirs on walking trails through heritage-listed remnant bush. Slopes are mostly gradual. A good walk for new walkers and families\, with toilets and a picnic area on completion.
