DESCRIPTION:A challenging start\, road walking up to McElligotts quarry\, near Carrick Hill\, to enjoy some great views. We will then descend on a dirt track to the start of the Brownhill Creek Recreation Park. We will follow the creek\, either on tracks or road and hopefully see some wildlife along the way\, along with some of the great work in re-vegetation and clearing done by Friends of Brownhill Creek\n\nApprox 1.5 hours\, 7km\, with a meal afterwards as an option\n\nPLEASE NOTE THAT HOT WEATHER IS PREDICTED. SUMMARY:Brownhill Creek / Wirraparinga Trail Loop
DESCRIPTION:We will meander along Brownhill Creek\, Wirraparinga Trail\, this is a 5.4km circuit walk which we should manage in under 2hrs. Relatively flat with areas of shade.\n\nSites of interest on the hike include the Monarch of the Glen\, a 400 year old river red gum. Its hollow trunk once sheltered Kaurna Aboriginal people and colonists until as late as the 1950s. Several settlers even gave birth inside the tree (apparently!).\n\nAfter the walk join us for dinner at The Ed or perhaps a quick refreshment.

SUMMARY:Bridgewater night walk
DESCRIPTION:This is a one way walk from Bridgewater to Crafers. Walking the trail through Mt George National park plus other trails.\n\nThe walk will commence with an Adelaide Metro bus trip from Crafers to Bridgewater. \n\nAfter leaving the bus we will walk the trails of Mt George to the Stirling golf club for  dinner (not  compulsory). The club has happy hour on a Friday night and is more than welcoming for us to join them.. \n\nPizza from $10\, burgers schnitzel etc at reduced price.\n\n \n\nWe will leave the club approximately 45 minutes after arriving to  start  our  hike back to  Crafers\, via various  roads  and streets  before  ending  up  in  the Cleland reserves\,  for our  final  walk into  Crafers.

SUMMARY:Belair night walk
DESCRIPTION:This is a twilight/night walk ( headlights will be needed ) utilising the multiple trails within the park.\n\nHowever most tracks are well maintained in the park\,making an ideal walk for beginners.\n\nThis 12.5km loop hike follows 4 marked trails through Belair National Park. Walk through forests\, beside bush and forested creeks\, picnic areas & playgrounds.\n\nThe date has been changed to February 21st due to a family commitment.\n\nOur starting time is wholly dependent on the parks closing time which is 9pm\n\nI haven’t located a restaurant in the area\, however Hungry Jack’s is not far away for after we finish.\n\nA suggestion that we take some snacks/ food with us has been made.\n\nThere are certainly plenty of spots to sit and enjoy them. I will check at the start of the walk and ensure we get time to eat.

DESCRIPTION:This walk will include quite a few hills and steps while we wander through parks\, gullies and beaches. \n\nThe view from the light house is spectacular. DESCRIPTION:A loop walk of approximately 10kms starting at 8.00am along the Beach and foreshore paths\, from Semaphore to North Haven and return. If you have a well behaved and social dog please feel free to bring them along. Don’t forget they will need a leash\, water and clean-up bags. There are public toilets available en-route and at the half way point we will stop for a morning tea and coffee at a kiosk or bring your own.\n\nPlease bring Sun protection and water.

DESCRIPTION:A pleasant walk around the southern section of the Lake. We’ll pass many renowned sites including the famous West Lakes rowing club\, The Lakes Resort Hotel and the massive house once owned by Lleyton Hewitt.  Hopefully the lotus flowers on The Duck Pond will be in full bloom.

SUMMARY:Marion Coastal Walk
DESCRIPTION:This is a mid week morning walk to beat the heat of summer and to get some fitness in the legs now the E2E walks are approaching.\n\nThe Marion Coastal Walkway is located in the Marion Coast Park which extends 7.2 km from Marino in the north\, to the Hallett Headland Reserve at Hallett Cove in the south.\n\nIts environment is unique in the metropolitan area\, with its rugged cliffs\, small coves and a rocky coast.\n\nIt also features world famous geological formations at Hallett Cove\, important sites of remnant coastal vegetation\, and the significant cultural presence of the Tjilbruke Dreaming. SUMMARY:Bridgewater to Mt Lofty
DESCRIPTION:This mostly uphill loop walk will go to Mt Lofty via Woodside scout camp\, various trails in the botanical gardens ( bring your camera for those autumn colours)\,Crafers\,plus Cleland reserve walking trails. \nLeaving Bridgewater at 8.30am\, this should give us plenty of time for viewing the autumn colours on our journey. \nLunch at the top of the mountain\, followed by a steep descent at the back of the mountain\, Woodside scout camp\, before walking the Mt George trails back to Bridgewater.\n\nThis should see us finish at about 2.30pm

SUMMARY:Willunga Basin Trail - Blue group
DESCRIPTION:This year we’ll have 2 groups walking the Willunga Basin Trail on the same day but on adjoining sections. The BLUE group and GREEN group will use the same bus to pick up and drop-off; hence the GREEN group will start 30-40 mins later than the BLUE group. Registration is separate for each group so walkers need to decide which group to join.\n\nThis first walk for the BLUE group is from Sellicks Hill to Moana Beach. Starting with some road verge and reserve\, then a variety of cliff and beach as well as a section through Aldinga Scrub. Tides will dictate how much we are on the beach.\n\nPlease be aware of FOHT weather policies regarding cancellation of walks

The descent will cover road reserve and country roads to finish at Sellicks Hill.\n\nAfter the walk\, for those that are interested\, we will convene at the Victory Hotel at Sellicks Hill for drinks/coffee.

SUMMARY:(South of) Mt Misery
DESCRIPTION:This extremely hard walk incorporates sections of the Montacute Conservation Park and the valleys and ridges south of the Kangaroo Creek reservoir and the Thomas Hill forest region.\n\nWonderful views over the Adelaide plains.\n\nAfter the walk it may be possible to share coffee and cake or pizza at the Anderson Hill Winery.\n\nThis is a slightly less extreme version of the route described in ‘Push the Bush’
