SUMMARY:Willunga Basin Trail - Blue Group
DESCRIPTION:This year we’ll have 2 groups walking the Willunga Basin Trail on the same day but on adjoining sections. The BLUE group and GREEN group will use the same bus to pick up and drop-off; hence the GREEN group will start 30-40 mins later than the BLUE group. Registration is separate for each group so walkers need to decide which group to join.\n\nToday the walk leaves from Onkaparinga National Park\, winding its way through Hardy’s Scrub\, then travels some road reserves with a swoop across Gemtree Winery wetlands before a few quiet back roads take us into Willunga. Terrain is relatively flat with an occasional undulation.

SUMMARY:Microcarpa/ Waterfall Belair National Park
DESCRIPTION:The walk starts by walking around Playford Lake and we can do some turtle and duck spotting along the way. Then we walk through one of the most diverse and best-preserved woodland areas remaining in the Mount Lofty Ranges. Grey box woodland (Eucalyptus microcarpa) is an endangered ecosystem. Once common across Adelaide\, clearing has reduced it to remnants in the Adelaide Hills. We continue on the waterfall loop through Echo Tunnel to the picturesque rock escarpments of the Upper and Lower Waterfalls which is the most challenging trail in the park.Hopefully the falls will be running.\n\nBring plenty of water\, morning tea\, a torch/ head lamp (or at least a fully charged mobile phone to use as a torch) for the tunnel.\n\nNote: members must not attend if unwell and this means ANY little sniffle\, cough etc. See Risks – Hazards & Requirements below for details

SUMMARY:Beaumont and Cleland via Botanic Gardens
DESCRIPTION:This walk is ideal for walkers who need to get a few kms into their legs. It is about 26kms and includes a few hills and rough tracks to improve your stamina and walking techniques. Walking poles and boots with good ankle support are recommended. It takes in part of the Pioneers Womens Trail\, Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens and Cleland Recreation Park. The up hills are out of the way by lunchtime leaving a gentle stroll back to the cars after that.\nWe will probably make Cleland Wildlife Reserve in time for lunch and a coffee (if you feel inclined).
