SUMMARY:Newland Head CP
DESCRIPTION:A slow walk to enjoy the rugged cliffs and bushland of Newland Head C.P.\n\nStarting the walk on a section of The Heysen Trail we reach the rugged headlands of the park\, where with weather permitting there will be spectacular views along the coast line. This is the time for whale watching\, will we be lucky to spot one? The rocky undulating tracks has us in and out of valleys\, surrounded by coastal vegetation to climb again to view the sea. This section of the walk requires the ability to be able to climb up and down steep and rocky hills.\n\nLeaving the coast behind we walk inland\, with wide open views of farming land on the right and bushland to the left. A sharp turn takes us into the bush\, with wattle trees and many other flowering wildflowers. In this area we will be looking for orchids which are often spotted here. Continuing through the park we return to the Heysen Trail and return to the cars.\n\nIf the weather is bad on the day\, the walk will not go to the coast\, it will stay inland and will only be around 7km.

SUMMARY:Horsnell Gully with a taste of Heysen
DESCRIPTION:This walk proceeds along Coach Road to meet up with the Heysen Trail. This lovely section of the Heysen Trail through to Giles Conservation Park is renowned for its wildflowers. At Giles we visit 3 cottages – “Faith”\, “Hope” and “Charity” and the reed beds for morning tea. The cottages were built by Charles Giles and John Horsnell in the 1840s so are in need of some maintenance.\n\nFrom here we head back to Horsnell Gully Conservation Park with more interesting ruins with helpful information panels that may be perused by those interested in history during a lunch break. After lunch the fun part of the walk includes a clamber up a waterfall (be prepared some crawling on hands and knees).\n\nThe walk is about 14 kms and includes a number of challenges. Walking poles and boots with good ankle support are recommended.

SUMMARY:Mack Creek
DESCRIPTION:A lovely walk taking in sections of Old Kersbrook Forest and the Blue Gum and Mack Creek tracks of Para Wirra Conservation Park.\n\nThe walk follows a range of trails – including well made fire tracks\, shared trails and a narrower\, more secluded track along Mack Creek.\n\nThe terrain is reasonably flat although there is a gentle descent into and ascent out of the creek. We will walk through blue gums and later box and pink gum forests.

SUMMARY:Onkaparinga Explorer TW
DESCRIPTION:Expand your horizons on trails less travelled within Onkaparinga NP.  This is a challenging walk of some 14-15km loop with descents to the river and accents up the gorge.  Initially walking down to the river\, the walk then climbs the gorge to pick up a section of the Willunga Basin Trail\, tracing edges of the park it then traverses less familiar tracks further up river. Testing your durability will be 3 water crossings:  walkers should be prepared with spare socks and hand towel depending on river levels.

SUMMARY:Lobethal Bushland Walk.
DESCRIPTION:Pleasant circular walk in Lobethal Bushland Park just outside of Lobethal. The trails in the park were through heritage-listed bush but the park was burnt out in the December 2019 Adelaide Hills bush fire. Through the care of passionate volunteers\, the park has been remarked and is showing signs of incredible regrowth. There are also exciting signs that kangaroos\, echidnas and bird life are returning. We will walk through trails which have been burnt\, but there are wonderful signs of regrowth on some of the trees and also the undergrowth. Slopes are mostly gradual. A good walk for new walkers and families\, with toilets and a picnic area on completion.
