Previous years found kangaroos\, koalas and echidna.\n\nWalk off Christmas and New Year kilos and get ready for a magnificent new walking season in style.\n\nBegin on Ambers Gully track\, up Main Ridge track\, around Sugar Loaves then down Ambers Gully walking trail. SUMMARY:Inman Valley to James Track
DESCRIPTION:A very undulating walk starting with a testing climb up Sugarloaf Hill and on to Moon Hill. The trail then leads into Myponga CP where we will be rewarded with good views and a few more steep ups and downs. The second half of the day sees us walking along pretty rural backroads towards Myponga. There is a 2km walk to the cars after leaving the trail on Yulte Road.

SUMMARY:Locks Ruin to E Smith Rd to Curnow's Hut
DESCRIPTION:Theme: “Cops and Robbers”. Budget cell accommodation is available for everyone at Gladstone Gaol: $15/person/night or $20/person/night with linen provided.\n\nSat.26th: From Lock’s Ruin we head east thru farmland to cross the Rocky River and then some lumpy stuff to Hiskey’s Hut where we will have a “nature stop” to water young trees planted by the Greening Committee. Then its road walking on through Georgetown and along Lehmann’s Rd. to the cars.\n\nSun.27th: Today we head North! We quickly climb to the ridge which takes us up and down and thru more farmland and across to Bundaleer Forest. We take a re-route away from the burnt areas of the forest and along Springs Rd. to Curnow’s Hut.\n\nNOTE: The walks may be altered/shortened due to weather conditions.
