SUMMARY:Newikie Creek to Dares Hill Summit Road and Spalding Road to Chlorinator. Based in Jamestown
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY 20 SEPTEMBER\n\nDue to the bad road conditions this walk had to be abandoned on 17 August. This walk has been rescheduled to this weekend.\n\nThis section passes through Caroona Conservation Park and Tourilie Gorge\, which is one of the lesser known gems of the Trail. Look out for the remnants of an old bullock track cut through the gorge. \n\nSUNDAY 21 SEPTEMBER\n\nFrom the junction with Burra-Spalding road the trail follows the contouring intake channel which eventually drains into Bundaleer Reservoir. We pass through Spalding\, before rejoining the intake channel for most of the remaining route to the Chlorination Station.\n\nTHEME – Spring\n\nNOTE – If you wish to walk on only one day\, please contact the FOHT office to register for that day. The online registering system will only allow you to register for both walking days.

DESCRIPTION:Following a contour line along the western face of Mount Lofty this track then crosses the saddle north of Mount Bonython and runs down into the Piccadilly Valley. SUMMARY:Waitpinga to Tugwell Rd
DESCRIPTION:One of the most spectacular sections of the Trail\, walkers follow sandy tracks through the coastal scrub of Newland Head Conservation Park\, and dramatic clifftops towards Victor Harbor. Here whales have been sighted\, as well as seals\, dolphins and the endangered white bellied sea eagle. At Kings Beach the Trail leaves the coast following roads and an uncleared road reserve to begin the long journey north.

SUMMARY:Hamilton to Kapunda to Tanunda. Based in Kapunda
DESCRIPTION:Theme for the weekend: We will have a Scottish theme this weekend\, as we will be walking through Greenock\, which some call the Little Scotland of the Barossa.\n\nA couple of long walks this weekend.\n\nSat.27 Sep: Lots of undulating farmland walking today\, some through tall\, ripening crops but intermingled with more backroads and some bitumen.\n\nSun.28 Sep: Starting in Kapunda\, we travel the Mary McKillop Walk and other backroads before crossing more cropping and grazing land on the way to Greenock. A quite noticeable change in landuse to vineyards occurs as we enter the Barossa Valley. Pleasant vistas and changing seasonal colours make this a pretty walk.\n\nAnother value-added experience today: We will meet E2E7 on the trail today for a joint celebration (over lunch?).

SUMMARY:Mt George
DESCRIPTION:A beautiful introductory walk for beginners of bush walking. The walk will commence along the Heysen Trail past the Bridgewater historic water-wheel mill. The trail will then take us off the Heysen Trail into Mt George conservation Park to the summit of Mt George. This can be a popular destination for bushwalkers and birdwatchers. Mount George Conservation Park landscape ranges from wetlands to open forests with rocky outcrops. The park features a great variety of vegetation and spring flowers. In the park you will find pea flowers\, ground-hugging correas and a variety of delightful native orchids. Wedge-tailed eagles may be seen circling the skies above the park\, while superb blue wrens\, red-browed finches\, white-throated treecreepers and scarlet robins are often observed around the trees and shrubs. You may often see koala’s fast asleep in the Gums and you often hear Kookaburra’s having a laugh as we walk past.\n\nAt the summit we will take a morning Tea break whilst we enjoy the scenery. Then we will desend down to the Heysen Trail back upon our return to Bridgewater. For those interested a quick refreshment or lunch is at the Bridgewater Inn.
