SUMMARY:Horrocks Pass to Broadview to Woolshed Flat
DESCRIPTION:Saturday 12th August\n\nStarting with a tough climb out of Horrocks Pass to the ridge\, the Trail traverses exposed\, gibber littered hills and farmland. Walkers are rewarded with views over the Willochra Plain.\n\nSunday 13th August \n\nThis section of the trail climbs through grazing land and natural scrub to Mount Brown\, where walkers are provided with spectacular views of the northern Spencer Gulf from the viewing tower. A pretty single file descent leads Waukarie Creek and a classic Flinders Ranges creek walk.\n\nTHEME: 70 music/band or singer \n\nNOTE – If you wish to walk on only one day\, please contact the FOHT office to register for that day. SUMMARY:EE George Quarry to Spalding Road to Chlorinator
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday…\n\nMost of this section is spent walking south\, initially along the crest of Brown Hill Range\, following the remnants of an old 1840s stone wall (the longest in SA). It is quite an undulating walk\, with little shelter from the elements\, however the views make up for any discomfort. The last 5-6 km follow rural back roads to the main Spalding to Burra road.\n\nOn Sunday…\n\nThis is a very flat\, but unique walk that follows the Freshwater intake channel for Bundaleer Reservoir\, only leaving it for a few km to go through Spalding. Walkers will see some fascinating examples of engineering from the early 1900s.\n\nNOTE – If you wish to walk on only one day\, please contact the FOHT office to register for that days walk. SUMMARY:Willunga to Old Noarlunga
DESCRIPTION:The original title of this walk: Willunga to Old Noarlunga\, would have made this walk a Trailwalker walk of about 24 kms.  In order to remain within the recommended guidelines of a Trailstarter walk (3 to 4 hours)\, I have shortened the walk to finish at Moana instead of Old Noarlunga.    A leisurely 14 kms walk amongst McLaren Vale vineyards on mostly off road sealed bicycle paths.  Refreshments at end of walk by the beach in Moana.   Bring the usual morning tea and lunch and keep an eye on the weather forecast.

DESCRIPTION:one of the most popular areas in Adelaide\,for a week end walk.This time we will be doing  12  kms aprox.\,in an unusual seccion of Morialta\,about 2.5 km.of steep climb to the top\,trought the Rocky Hill track\,along Moores Rd. and across to Colonial Track and then finally down to the Waterfalls Creek\,to finish down the car park.\,all in about 5 hrs.

SUMMARY:Mt Barker
DESCRIPTION:Commencing from Laratinga Wetlands on Mount Barker Creek our ultimate destination will be the summit of Mount Barker. On a clear day views are available south-east over the Murray’s Lower Lakes and west over the Onkaparinga Valley to Mount Lofty. Walking will be on the verge of some minor country roads until we reach the Conservation Reserve where we can revert to a path through open woodland. The understorey displays a sparse layer of shrubs amongst which can be found a variety of native orchids\, ground-cover and bulbous flowering plants.

DESCRIPTION:A very pretty walk over probably the most popular section of the trail. Walkers pass through the parks and bushland of Bridgewater\,Mt George Con. park\, Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens and Cleland Cons. Park. There are many picturesque Hills vistas and photo opportunities throughout the walk.\n\nWith good views come good hills.\n\nPlease remember that the organized car pooling from Marion Council Offices is no longer available.

SUMMARY:Beaumont/Cleland
DESCRIPTION:This walk is ideal for walkers who need to get a few kms into their legs. It is about 27kms and includes a few hills and rough tracks to improve your stamina and walking techniques. It takes in part of the Pioneers Womens Trail\, Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens and Cleland Recreation Park. The up hills are out of the way by lunchtime leaving a gentle stroll back to the cars after that. \n\nThe walk commences at 8am from Brock Reserve on Dashwood Road\, Beaumont. The walk should finish by 16:00.
