SUMMARY:End to End Minus 2 Kyeema-Inman Valley (Wk8.5)
DESCRIPTION:This is our penultimate “Week” of walking south.\nDay 1 Starting where we left off\, in the Kyeema Conservation Park\, we climb Mount Magnificent and if we are lucky we may hear the dulcet tones of the shrieking Cameron. It’s then a descent into the Finniss Conservation Park\, hoping to keep our feet dry as we cross the ford at the Finniss River\, past the closed Finniss Campsite and then on through the bracken to the old dairy factory at Mt Compass.\nDay 2 From the old dairy factory we have a bit of a trudge along Woodcone Road\, before we head off to Mount Cone\, via an initial steep descent\, then a steep climb to a long a ridge line that on a fine day should give us fantastic views. It’s then down to Lawless Lane and cross the Hindmarsh Tiers Road\, finally transiting the lovely Yulte Conservation Park and reaching our vehicles\, at Myponga.\nDay 3 Our final day of Week 8.5 starts with some road walking to get into another beautiful conservation park\, Myponga CP\, which in true form has some ups and downs and creek crossings\, before emerging at Moon Hill. It’s then a descent over Sugarloaf and into the Inman Valley.\nThe THEME of the Week is “Magnificent”\, so make of that what you will.\n\nBIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear\, clothing\, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds\, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
