Description

Welcome to End to End Thirteens penultimate week in our final year toward completing the Heysen Trail!

We are walking 6 sections of the Heysen Trail in this week, as follows:

Saturday: Travel to Quorn
Sunday:
Eyre Depot to Warren Gorge
Monday: Warren Gorge to Buckaringa Gorge
Tuesday: Buckaringa Gorge to Calabrinda Creek
Wednesday: Rest day, travel to Hawker
Thursday: Calabrinda Creek to Jarvis Hill
Friday: Jarvis Hill to Leigh Creek Road (Old Wonoka)
Saturday: Mt Little Station to Moralana Scenic Drive
Sunday: Travel home

It is important to note that section 55 Leigh Creek Road (Old Wonoka) to Mt Little Station will be walked in our August week away

We will be based in Quorn from Saturday to Wednesday, when we will reposition to Hawker for the remainder of the week.

The theme for the week is "Tour de Flinders" - bring your cycling paraphernalia!

If there are difficulties driving the bus to any drop off/pick up locations, the program will be altered at the leaders'/bus driver's discretion

Walk Difficulty - The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines, irregular surface with loose uneven, slippery base. They have a walking time of about 5 to 7 hours and will require a good degree of physical fitness.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
