Sat 9 to Sun 10 Jul 2022

Walk name/location
Manoora-Mintaro-Penwortham
Walk grade
End-to-End Lavender Trail
Description

Saturday’s walk takes us through picturesque backroads leading to Martindale Hall which appeared in the film Picnic at Hanging Rock.  We will keep a close eye on all walkers past this landmark!  We then continue on to Mintaro.   The next section includes a steep walk to high ground below Mount Horrocks with spectacular views.  We then head down into Watervale for lunch and then walk along the Riesling Trail into Penwortham.

As we are entering Clare Valley wine country the theme for the weekend is “Red and White”

We will be based at Clare this weekend with optional dinner at the Clare “middle pub” Hotel on the Saturday night.

If you wish to walk on only one day of the weekend you will need to contact the office to register.
