SATURDAY 26th JUNE

This is a long and difficult, though memorable section of the Trail that begins with the long ascent of Mt Remarkable and continues through the Mt Remarkable National Park over many ups and downs before emerging on Alligator Gorge Road.

The start of this walk will be staggered to enable our slower walkers and those wishing to take early morning photos of the surrounding countryside a more relaxed ascent of the mount. The second group of walkers will start half an hour later, regrouping with the first group at the cairn near the summit. After a quick morning tea the group will continue as usual.

Don't forget to bring a headlamp or torch for the early morning start

SUNDAY 27th JUNE

A leisurely walk, predominantly along gently undulating backroads through pleasant farmland surrounds before finishing in the shadows of Mt Remarkable at Melrose passing an ancient red river gum with perhaps the largest bole on the Trail and the tall stone tower of once prominent Jacka Brewery.

Dinner on the Saturday evening will be at  the Mt Remarkable Hotel  from 6.00pm. I have reserved  places for up to 45 diners. The management have asked for us to be on time or earlier as our group will be first sitting for the evening. When registering for the walk please fill in the RSVP question to indicate if you will be attending.
