Description

A walk on the trails at the western end of the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park. We will walk through a lovely grove of almond blossom to get into the steep sided gorge. We may make several river crossings on stepping stones depending on the conditions.

The trail is slippery underfoot and good-grip boots and poles are strongly recommended. There is a few metres of slightly tricky rock scramble at one point but the rest is easy enough.

Start time 9am sharp. The meeting point is tricky to get to now with the South Road upgrade so I suggest you aim to be there at 830am to allow for mistakes. Walk approx 3hr.

Bring water, snacks and rain jacket.
