Description

This is a 14 to 15klm one way walk.

We will walk the full length of the beautiful and rugged Sturt River Gorge..

There are 9 or 10 river crossings on this walk, so toss in a towel to maybe dry your feet.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.

COVID-19 measures – you will need to adhere to social distancing at this event:

  1. I declare that if I experience any respiratory symptoms (even if mild) before the walk, I will immediately self-isolate, seek medical advice and cancel my registration for the event.
  2. When attending the walk I will:
    • observe social distancing practices
    • maintain personal hygiene (apply hand sanitiser and protect others if I cough/sneeze)
    • not share drink bottles, eating utensils, other personal items and equipment.

We will right next to the river so there may be some slippery sections.

Requirements

COVID-19 measures – you will need to observe social distancing at this event, ensuring no contact between participants.

This includes:

  • maintaining a 1.5 metre minimum distance between participants
  • maintaining a 4m2 minimum area per person
  • bringing and using your own supply of hand sanitise

Walking poles would assist you also Train/Bus pass and face mask are a necessity.
