Description

An interesting 26km circuit between Tailem Bend and Wellington along the Murray River - mostly flat but long day. Allow up to 8 hours as we will use ferries to cross river and time to explore as we traverse heritage areas and conservation reserves.

After a ferry crossing the morning section is a long walk on the levee bank adjacent to the river and farmland - this is an exposed section so challenging if the weather is inclement. After a second ferry crossing we enter an arboretum and conservation reserves that will take us through sandy tracks, flowering scrubland and up along cliffs.
