Description

A picturesque section highlighting the diversity of the . Heysen Trail, the walk continues through dense native bushland in Deep Creek Conservation Park before veering toward the coast providing spectacular views of Tunkalilla Beach and then a steep descent to Boat Harbor Beach. Some more coastal walking leads to a testing 4klm walk along Tunkalilla Beach followed by a very steep climb up Balquhidder Hill prior to the final few klms through rolling farmland.

Trail can be very slippery if wet, especially the couple of klms either side of Boat Harbor Beach.

Requirements

Bring suitable protective clothing [e.g raincoat, sunhat etc.],suitable footwear,walking poles,morning tea, lunch and at least 2 litres of water. A spare pair of socks may prove useful..
