Description

We start from the midst of the suburbs, before descending into a hidden gully and along the Field River. Our journey then leads us through some little known ruins where we discover a part of our early colonial mining past. Find out about our early history, and uncover a connection to the Heysen Trail.

This walk undulates in parts and some sections can be rocky as we traverse the river several times. If it has been raining recently, the river will be flowing.

Requirements

Sturdy footwear, preferable waterproof. You may want to bring a change of footwear for after the walk.
