  1. The lady who manages the caravan park was most helpful in advising me to re-stock on food by catching the bus into Teatree Plaza in Adelaide. The bus runs several times a day from outside the tavern on Gorge Road. The meals at the tavern are very good value.

  2. Back-packers’ is a good option, about 1 Km off the Heysen Trail.
We stayed there September 2022. $35.00 per person per night.
Good shelter from rain (there was plenty of that in September)! Friendly pub staff

However, if you’re heading North-to-South, don’t even think of going to the Caravan Park before stopping in at the Cudlee Creek cafe. It’s worth a special detour (that’s at least one star on the Michelin scale)!
