  1. An excellent facility, but some maintenance is needed.

The flue on the fireplace is VERY unstable and requires urgent maintenance/replacement. It has rusted and is almost ready to collapse – accidentally nudging it while the fire is lit could burn the whole place down!

Additionally, the tap on the rainwater tank which feeds into the sink leaks when open. There is plenty of water available from the tank at the northern end though.

  2. Hi,
Just letting you know the Hallett Hotel has reopened and also this year the Hallett Gallery will be available after a few years off for small numbers- home stay- max 3. Would need advance notice.

  3. Walked past the hut on Sunday and decided to have a look inside. We could open the padlock, but someone has put the bolt across the inside of the door and left by another door so the hut is not really much good

  4. Thanks for letting us know Mark. The door has been opened so it now works as it should.

  5. Stayed here on 19th Oct. 17 . Plenty of water and bait set so no mice thank goodness. Swept out hut. Thanks to all concerned for provision and maintenance of this railway station hut.

  6. Don and Frank
27/9/2018 Stayed overnight in hut, a nice stay. The lady from the service station supplied some wood for the stove. Water was OK.
