Cape Jervis is a ferry town, connecting the mainland with Kangaroo Island. The southern trailhead of the Heysen Trail starts near the SeaLink Ferry Terminal.
The public daily bus service between Adelaide and Cape Jervis is operated by Link SA 8555 2500. It also links to the transport hubs at Seaford, Colonnades, Marion, Goolwa and Victor Harbor. The timetable for these services is shown here. https://www.linksa.com.au/cape-jervis-ferry-terminal-booking/
The Ferry terminal includes a café, waiting lounge, public phone, carpark, including secure parking by arrangement.

Notes
SeaLink have confirmed the closure dates for the Cape Jervis Ferry Terminal and surrounding precinct will commence 5:00pm Monday, 19 October 2026 through until 9:00am Friday, 23 October 2026.
During this period, the Cape Jervis Terminal and surrounding precinct will be closed to the public and operating as an active construction site.
Access through the precinct will not be available during this period, and trail walkers will need to bypass the area.
