History
The Savings Bank of South Australia (SBSA) building was originally built as a saddlery in the 1890’s and later converted to a shop and private residence for Mr J. Rock. The SBSA purchased the entire building in 1909 for £1,100 and opened the Quorn branch, when it was an important northern regional centre.
The SBSA then became the State Bank of South Australia and BANK SA branch. The bank closed in 1997.
