- Those people who successfully register for this walk will also be given priority access to register for the subsequent EE20 walks.
Walk 1- Cape Jervis to Cobblers Hill
Commencing at Cape Jervis, the coastal scenery along this region of the Fleurieu Peninsula is spectacular. Walking along sandy coastal tracks and exposed hillsides, with views of Kangaroo Island. Along the trail there are several undulations with a steep descent to Blow Hole Beach. The walk ends with a much-anticipated hill climb up Cobblers Hill for approx. 2km
Walk Difficulty – The Heysen Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines, irregular surface with loose uneven, slippery base. They have a walking time of about 5 to 7 hours and will require a good degree of physical fitness.
Information re BUS transport: For End to End walks the bus does NOT transport walkers from Adelaide to the walk. After registration, walkers will be given instructions to drive their vehicle to the meeting point which will be at the END point of the day's walk. The cars remain there and the bus transports the group to the start point. From there, the group walks back to the cars.
BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
