  1. Just south of the town, there are the Mylor Parklands, right adjacent the Heysen Trail and high above the main road.
There’s evidence of previous campers – cleared ground, a stone fire-ring ( I wish people would clear their fire rings when they leave the camp. Remember: Leave No Trace).

If the sky’s clear (and it was, when we camped there), it’s a beautiful place to set up camp. Lots of trees, flowers, orchids.

The oval reserve has clear ‘no camper vans and no camping’ along the small road that goes around the oval.
However at the southern end of the reserve with the playground near the road there are no signs back in the corner away from the playground near the creek. Also has a shelter with seats in it. Maybe you can camp there, locals did not seem to mind.

    • I’ve camped here in the past. Did a long day from Finniss River campsite to Mylor. Arrived after dark and camped in the corner you mentioned (next to a small creek). Didn’t have any issues.
