Walk name/location
Lavender Federation Trail Monarto Oval to Bondleigh to Mount Beevor Fendlers Road
Walk grade
End-to-End Lavender Trail
Description

On Saturday;  After a road walk we go through a very pleasant woodland area with extensive views all around. we pass through some huge old gum trees.  A mine opened in 1854 for copper and gold before reopening in 1899 to mine arsenic. Some deep mine shafts here. Good views to the East along here.

On Sunday;

Mt Beevor presents us with a steep climb today.  On a clear day there will be spectacular views from the summit. There maybe boggy areas if rain has been through along with thick vegetation and rocky ground.

Walk Difficulty - The Lavender Trail walks are demanding and suitable for experienced walkers who have walked regularly in various terrain consisting of long-distance trails with some steep inclines/declines, irregular surface with loose uneven, slippery base. They have a walking time of about 5 to 7 hours and will require a good degree of physical fitness.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
