Walk name/location
Beaumont/Lofty/Cleland

Description

This walk is ideal for walkers who need to test their endurance. It has similar distance and altitude characteristics to the Heysen Trail walk from Melrose to Alligator Gorge Road. It is about 26kms and includes hills and rough tracks to improve your stamina and walking techniques. It covers part of the Pioneer Womens Trail, Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens and Cleland National Park. The climbs are out of the way by lunchtime, leaving a gentle stroll back to the cars after that.

Walking poles and boots with good ankle support are recommended.

We will arrive at Cleland Wildlife Park in time for a late lunch and coffee.

The walk commences at 8am from Brock Reserve on Dashwood Road, Beaumont and should finish by 16:00.

Contact me on the day on 0400320943 if necessary.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
