Description

Nestled amongst the Barossa Ranges, Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park is visited by Heysen Trail walkers and includes several other trails.

It rewards walkers with panoramic views, fascinating rock formations and a range of native plants and animals.

Our moderate grade walk will will follow the Stringybark & Wallowa tracks and a small section of the Heysen Trail. It passes through a variety of landscapes including creeks, rocky outcrops, areas of low forest, scrub and open grassland. It will include panoramic views across the ranges to the Barossa Valley.

There are no toilet facilities in the park, so you may want to use facilities in a nearby town on the way to the walk.

Requirements

Walking shoes or boots with good grip.

Walking poles may help, if you have them.

Bring 1 litre of water and snack for morning tea.
