Description

The walk starts by walking around Playford Lake and we can do some turtle and duck spotting along the way. Then we walk through one of the most diverse and best-preserved woodland areas remaining in the Mount Lofty Ranges. Grey box woodland (Eucalyptus microcarpa) is an endangered ecosystem. Once common across Adelaide, clearing has reduced it to remnants in the Adelaide Hills. We continue on the waterfall loop through Echo Tunnel to the picturesque rock escarpments of the Upper and Lower Waterfalls which is the most challenging trail in the park.Hopefully the falls will be running.

Bring plenty of water, morning tea, a torch/ head lamp (or at least a fully charged mobile phone to use as a torch) for the tunnel.

Note: members must not attend if unwell and this means ANY little sniffle, cough etc. See Risks - Hazards & Requirements below for details
