Description

Sat 31st May Sections 1+2

This walk starts with us walking the quiet streets of Historic Willunga .Some  lovely old houses and gardens to be seen aswell as a giant magpie. After a short walk alongside the main rd to Victor we head off  along backroads through grape growing country.Leaving the vineyards the trail gradually climbs up through varying terrain until we reach the ridgeline .Great views of the coastline are had on and off from here on as we walk more backroads before dropping down through some great countryside. Before you know it we will be back at the Victory Hotel where you can enjoy a Lemonade.

Sunday 1st June

After the rigours of yesterday this walk starts with a gentle stroll along the Esplanade with mansions on one side and Classic Coastal views on the other.Dropping down onto the beach we get our first taste of beach walking, before leaving the coastline and heading inland.Aldinga Scrub and Hart's Rd Wetland  gives the walker a chance to take shelter for a while from potential coastal gales before emerging on the coastline again.A mix of cliff top and beach walking sees us finish off the day at Maslins Beach. Remember to look back every now and then to see the stunning cliff colours along this last section. Although this beach is deemed an area for unclad people, your leaders would appreciate it if all clothes are left on .

A reservation has been made at the Silver Sands Beach Club for dinner at 6pm on Saturday 31st May 2025. Please RSVP if you will be attending.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.
