Description

A loop in Black Hill CP, with lots of hills and views. Follows the Yurrebilla Trail for part of the loop. Likely to see kangaroos.

This walk is primarily a training walk for EE19 but other walkers are welcome. This is a longer and harder walk than our Sunday walk, but gives walkers a chance to experience multi-day walking.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES – Please ensure you thoroughly clean your footwear, clothing, walking poles and other equipment before and after each walk to remove all seeds, dirt and other debris. Removed seeds should be bagged and disposed in a ‘to landfill’ garbage bin.

Hazards

Slippery surfaces. Snakes. Steep ascents and descents. Some walking on cliff edges.

Requirements

Wear appropriate hiking clothing, hiking footwear, hat, sunscreen, rain jacket etc as you need per forecast weather conditions.

Carry at least 2 litres of water and a personal first aid kit including electrolytes.

Bring food and snacks for morning tea and lunch.

Walking poles handy.

Experience

Trail Walker or End-to end experience. This is a challenging walk not suitable for beginners, walkers carrying injuries (particularly knee injuries) or unfit walkers.
